NETAJI SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE ISLAND (ROSS ISLAND)

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Islands which was earlier know as Ross Island, is located In Port Blair city of South Andaman district. Which was the earlier capital of British’s in Andaman and also the headquarters of the Indian Penal Settlement for the British administration in the Andaman Islands. The residential structures which was built by britishers is still remain and some are vanish like secretariat office, old houses, a church, a bazaar, stores, a large swimming pool and a small hospital, though their brick is slowly being overtaken by the roots of wild Ficus plants. Ross Island now also home to Deer’s, Peacock and Parrots. In Evening Andaman Tourism Department also conduct Light and Sound Show in this island which takes you back to the British Era.
