Cellular Jail: This three-storeyed prison, constructed by Britishers in 1906, is a pilgrimage destination for freedom fighters. This colossal edifice has mutely witnessed the most treacherous of inhumane atrocities borne by the convicts, who were mostly freedom fighters.
Sound & Light Show: The program is beautifully displayed to the audience with great lighting and sounds. The chronicles of events that occurred in the islands are shown and are brought to you alive under the old peepal tree in the jail premises.
Ross Island (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island)- The stunning architectural ruins are one of the major attractions of the island including the remnants of a church, the chief commissioner’s house, a hospital and a cemetery to name a few. Walking through these structures is like walking back in time.
North Bay Island- North Bay Beach is not just a place for relaxation but is also a hub for water sports. It includes glass boat rides, sea walking, snorkelling and scuba diving that help you experience the underwater marine life.
Radhanagar Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia. It attracts huge tourism due to its awe-striking beauty and is also titled as the 7th most beautiful beach in the world. Radhanagar beach is a treat to watch during sunrise and sunset.
Elephant beach is very famous for the variety of untouched corals and rich marine life with diverse species. The coral reefs of this beach start about a meter or two. A little deep into the sea you can spot vibrant corals and schools of colorful fish swimming around elegantly, must admit it is an amazing view! The beach offers a lot of water sports and activities.
Kalapathar Beach is a charming destination famous for white beach sand dotted with black rocks and turquoise water.
Neil Island is best known for its unparalleled biodiversity and unexplored span of dense tropical forests and greenery complemented by white sand beaches and rich coral reefs.
For tourists, it is recommended to spare a few hours on the last day of their trip by exploring the markets for indigenous handicrafts and bagging a few souvenirs to relish their tropical holidays at Andaman.
